Yeah, I thought I'd share a few with some of you new guys and those who are struggling.
-Sentences. I think the one thing that counts a lot is having periods or exclaimation marks in your rps. If you don't have those, you don't get very far and people will not understand what you're saying. It'll be like run-on sentences that don't need to be.
I'll admit I'm not a huge grammer freak but that's the one thing I will suggest.
-Pictures. Well, it depends on style but don't make it the whole rp. I mean looking at pictures are nice, don't get me wrong, but mostly have the description and the promo talking. It will help your rp out. FYI, pictures don't count towards anything.
-Character development. Yeah this could be a big factor. Sometimes it takes the right character to get in the right mood. Best thing to do before you go ahead and have a character, try to plan out what you want and where you want to take him. Whether he's a face or a heel or even a tweener, it's up to you where you take him. Sometimes it takes different character reps to get the right one, other times right off the bat and you got it set. One thing for sure, take your time and relax and give it your best shot.
-Atmosphere. Something I think would be, check out some Main Eventer rps to get a feel on how to be on the top of the mountain. You won't get there overnight, believe me. If you can catch on and adapt and produce top notch rps, you're gonna do great but most importantly, don't rush yourself to that level. I know a lot of people want to be at the top. I can tell you from my rping experience, you don't get there over night. It could take a couple years, months, or weeks even depending on development.
