Before I get into the controversial issues, I shall start with a positive note.
ExWA thus far has been a total success. I have never seen a new fed get 56 members in just 3 weeks. Match roleplaying is at an all time high. There is less excuse making than I ever saw in JWA.
That is good, because it means people are enjoying themselves.
Thank you to all the ExWA superstars, from Goldberg to Vegito. Without you, feuds would not happen, and this fed would die.
Next up, the controversial issues that have arisen. Firstly, the Jestergate incident.
I came online and saw the PM's from him, and immediately thought Jester was behind it. My first response to him was 'LMAO, good one'. It was the Seattle location that gave it away.
Throughout that morning he persisted with the joke, and I told him to condense it to the Trash talk and roleplay threads, or I would be forced to take action.
I was not behind the decision to strip him of his title. Winter Sanderson made that call while I was offline. However, I have no reason to contest it. Winter walked in on a situation where he could not have known the circumstances. I think it may have been me that told him it was Jester, in fact. Whatever the case, Winter made an intelligent call in stripping Jester.
Am I saying I would have done it? No. but that's because I knew the facts. If anything, Jester being stripped is my fault, for not explaining to Winter properly before I went offline.
So don't blame Winter, and certainly don't blame Dave, he was nothing to do with that little spat.
As for Pohatu, I was aware of the situation. Pohatu was at the time TNT, and told Winter on MSN that he couldnt compete for a month. Dave politely requested that he post the length of his absence in the notification forum-something which is not only reasonable but expected.
The next day, or perhaps the same dat, TNT changed to Pohatu, and wanted on the card. This is unacceptable, because A-you can't just up and leave a character without telling management, who for one thing were planning a feud with him and his stable, B-is unacceptable on the grounds that just a day before he told management that he wouldnt be booked for a month or so.
The thing is, once you say 'don't book me', we make plans around that. you cant just rubber band and go back on it, because that causes chaos for us as bookers.
So, i feel that a SUSPENSION (not banning) was perfectly reasonable. Again, I wasn't there to okay it at the time, but whatever decisions Winter and Dave make in my absence always have my 100% backing.
Hopefully, in reading this, you will all realise that we aren't monsters as management. Nobody is out to get anyone. There aren't any favourites. Let's all learn from the past, and move on.
Signing off,
Shane Powers
