A vicious growl of a wild cat rocks the Arena. The entrance of Getting Away With Murder starts up over the speaker system, the lights dim down ever so slightly. The crowd gets up to their feet with cheers, knowing which superstar was coming out next.
Fred Elliot: The following match up is a Hardcore match for the Deathmatch Championship. .And coming out to the ring, weighing in at 215 pounds...'THE MIDNIGHT HUNTER' .......THE PANTHER!
A figure emerges at the top of the ramp, only his silhouette being able to be seen. He starts to hop from foot to foot, the lights come back to life as the first lyrics of the song roars across the sound system, showing that it is indeed The Panther. He stops hopping and points out to the crowd then runs down the ramp, diving into the bottom rope as the chorus of the song hit, Maria Schultz slips out of the ring. Panther runs across the ring as he hops up to his feet, jumping onto the second rope towards the camera and taunts the crowd a bit, as he awaits the beginning of the match.
Fred Elliot: And his opponent, weighing in at 195 pounds, X-TremeZone’s Deathmatch Champion...NEEDLES!!
As the shark bites begins to play on the PA. Needles "the Snitch" bursts through the curtain wearing laced boots over white tights, green bloomer shorts and an old mans sleaveless t-shirt whirling over sized boxing gloves. Needles walked down the ramp, sticking his arms out for the fans as Fred Elliot slipped out of the ring, Damien Smith slipping up inside the ring just as Needles reached the ring. Needles used the steps to climb up onto the apron, ducking between the top and middle rope to pull himself through. Needles hesitantly took the Deathmatch title from around his waist, handing it to Damien Smith, who flashed the title to the audience before tossing it to the time keepers. Damien moved to the center of the ring, checking to make sure both wrestlers were ready before moving out of the way, signalling for the beginning of the match.
DING DING DING!
Needles slid out of the ring, but Panther wasn’t about to let him get away that easily, Panther running forward and launching himself over the top rope with a Plancha, but Needles ducked out of the way, causing Panther to crash face first against the crowd barrier. Needles took advantage of this and picked Panther up, landing a couple of eye rakes before leading Panther back to the ring, rolling him inside before digging around underneath the apron, pulling out a steel chair. Needles slowly climbed up onto the top rope, placing the chair right underneath his elbow before diving off for a Cactus Jack-style Elbow Drop, but Panther just barely managed to get out of the way, making Needles crash against the mat.
Irvin Fury: Both wrestlers are down, Panther apparently unconscious, though he did dodge that Diving Elbow Shot.
Teddy Speaks: Needles must’ve hit his head against the chair when he hit the mat instead of Panther.
Needles slowly sat up, favoring his elbow a bit as he again picked up the chair, Panther starting to make his way up to his feet. Needles charged forward, raising the chair above his head as if he were going to nail Panther in the head with it, but the other wrestler dove to the side and stuck out his legs, tripping Needles to the ground with a Drop Toe hold. Needles fell, his head meeting the chair as he hit the ground. Panther slowly sat up, stumbling a little bit as he tried to shake the cobwebs loose.
Irvin Fury: I think Panther is still feeling pain from when he missed that plancha.
Teddy Speaks: Why do you people call it a plancha? Isn’t it a Suicide Dive?
Irvin Fury: Plancha sounds better.
Teddy Speaks: Oh.
While the announcers had been bickering, Panther had moved to the southeast corner, leaning against it as he watched Needles, seeming to be measuring him up. Panther slowly moved out of the corner, grabbing Needles by the hair was the smaller wrestler started to get up, Neeldes still looking like he was out of it. Panther got Neeldes up to his feet then waist locked him, looking like he was going for a German Suplex, but Needles hooked his leg around one of Panther’s making it so Panther couldn’t lift him. Panther tried for it again, only to get the same effect. The heavier of the two wrestlers growled in anger before lifting Needles straight up into the air and went onto one foot, twisting around to slam Needles face first into the mat.
Teddy Speaks: I was reviewing some of Pohatu’s amature wrestling matches, and he did that exact same move on quite a few people.
Irvin Fury: I guess those two did train together like Panther said they had on that one Thunder Reel.
Panther released the waistlock to jump around, hooking Needles’ head with a front facelock, slowly moving up to his knees. Needles tried to fight his way out of the hold, but he couldn’t get quite it, so he swung an arm forward, his forearm smashing right between Panther’s legs. Panther got a pained expression on his face before he basically collapsed on top of Needles, releasing the front face lock as he slowly slid backwards, holding himself.
Teddy Speaks: What a cheater! Can’t he wrestle cleanly?
Irvin Fury: Do you expect that Snitch to wrestle cleanly? Didn’t think so. It’s a miracle he’s even lasted this long. And besides, it’s a Hardcore match, not a regular match, so he’s going to do anything he can since he can’t get DQed.
Teddy Speaks:*dark grumbling*
As the announcers had been bickering, Needles had gotten up and was shaking himself out, pointing and laughing down at Panther, who looked up at the smaller wrestler with a glare before starting to get up...only to get a stiff punch to the nose by Needles, which sent him back down to the mat. Panther again tried getting up to his feet, but only got to his knees before Needles sent him back to the ground with a stiff punch to the nose. Needles stood over Panther, as if taunting him, only to change his face from cockiness to shock as Panther knipped up, hooking his legs around Panther’s head and whipped himself around, landing a Knip up Hurracanrana that sent Needles flying to the other side of the ring. Panther landed on his back but then knipped up, turning to glare at Needles, who was using the ropes in the parallel corner to try and haul himself up, Panther beginning to measure him up.
Irvin Fury: Oh no! NEEDLES, MOVE!
Teddy Speaks: MIDNIGHT POUNCE!
As Teddy had said that, Panther sprinted across the ring, jumping when he reached about the center of the ring and seemed to fly across the rest of the ring, looking like he was going to hit the Midnight Pounce on Needles...but Needles dropped to the ground and threw an arm up, low blowing Panther again. Except instead of releasing it as Panther landed on the ground, Needles levered himself over, using the arm he had low blowed Panther with to lever the fellow cruiserweight over for a Roll up. Damien slid over, making sure that Panther’s shoulders were flat against the ground before starting up with the count. “One...two...three!”<br>
DING DING DING!
Panther kicked out right after the three, but it was too late. Needles stood up, raising his arms above his head in celebration.
Fred Elliot: And here is your winner and STILL X-TremeZone’s Deathmatch Champion....NEEDLES!!
Needles’ theme song started up as Damien Smith recieved the Deathmatch title from the time keepers, taking it to Needles who raised the belt above his head before strapping it around his waist and slid out of the ring, walking up the ramp.
